Add the current date to a Cell

Entering the current date manually can be time-consuming, especially if it’s a frequent task. Fortunately, there’s a handy keyboard shortcut involving a semicolon (;) to swiftly input the current date, along with another shortcut for the current time.

Open Excel and go to your sheet. Click the cell where you want the date/time. Press Ctrl + ; for the date or Ctrl + Shift + ; for the time. Hit Enter to move on. These shortcuts save time!
